Environmental Awareness and Action Improves Higher Education

Integrating sustainability into higher education is a timely and necessary process that brings multiple benefits to a college or university and to society more broadly. A growing literature on these topics has not received the attention it deserves. In the sections below, we cite key arguments.

We have created an interactive web project linked to University of Richmond’s First Year Seminar entitled “Green Schools.”  We encourage you to read student, faculty, staff, and administrative perspectives on sustainability in higher education and to add your own comments.
